Terms of Service
Effective date: September 8, 2026
Welcome to FieldFlowHub (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using our website, application, or related features (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. The Service
FieldFlowHub provides construction opportunity intelligence — primarily scored building-permit and parcel activity for Chicago and Cook County, Illinois — including project and company pages, filters, a map, and account features such as saved sites and trade preferences.
The Service aggregates and presents information drawn from public sources (including City of Chicago Department of Buildings permit data and Cook County Assessor property records), together with derived signals such as activity scores, trade-fit reasons, inferred relationships, and AI-assisted display copy. Catalog coverage and features may change as we expand or refine the product.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
- Account creation. Some features require an account. You must provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.
- Security. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
- Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or use account features. The Service is intended for business and professional use related to construction and trades.
3. Free Access and Soft Launch
The Service is currently offered at no charge during soft launch. Anonymous visitors may be limited in how many unique project or company detail pages they can view before signup is required. Signed-in users may receive broader access to catalog features, subject to these Terms and any reasonable usage limits we publish.
We may introduce paid plans, change free features, or adjust access limits later. If we do, we will update these Terms and provide notice as described below. Nothing in these Terms obligates us to continue offering any feature for free indefinitely.
4. Public-Record Data and Disclaimers
Much of the catalog is based on public records and derived analysis. You acknowledge that:
- Source data may be incomplete, delayed, mismatched, outdated, or incorrect. Public agencies — not FieldFlowHub — control the underlying records.
- Activity scores, trade-fit signals, party relationships, timelines, and similar product outputs are derived evidence and estimates, not guarantees of a project, contract, award, payment, or business opportunity.
- Some display text may be generated or summarized with automated tools (including AI) and may not mirror source documents word-for-word.
- You must independently verify any information before relying on it for bids, outreach, hiring, underwriting, investment, or other decisions.
FieldFlowHub is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official publication of the City of Chicago, Cook County, or any other government agency whose data we reference. Agency names and dataset titles are used for attribution and description only.
City of Chicago data. Permit and related City data used in the Service is subject to the City’s Data Terms of Use. As required for secondary and derivative applications:
This site provides applications using data that has been modified for use from its original source, www.cityofchicago.org, the official website of the City of Chicago. The City of Chicago makes no claims as to the content, accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of any of the data provided at this site. The data provided at this site is subject to change at any time. It is understood that the data provided at this site is being used at one’s own risk.
Cook County Assessor data. Parcel and related Assessor records used in the Service are subject to the Assessor’s public disclaimer:
Cook County Assessor property data shown on this site may be modified from its original source and is provided without warranty as to accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. The Cook County Assessor’s Office does not guarantee the accuracy of information derived from its records. Use of this data is at your own risk.
5. License to Use the Service
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes.
You may not, without our prior written consent:
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or substantial portions of the catalog as a competing data product;
- Bulk-download, scrape, or systematically harvest catalog data beyond ordinary interactive browsing; or
- Use the Service or catalog data to build a substantially similar competing service.
This license does not transfer ownership of public-record facts themselves; it governs your use of our aggregation, presentation, software, and derived signals.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service or assist others in doing so. Without limitation, you agree not to:
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, hack, or attempt to extract source code of the Service except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law;
- Upload, transmit, or distribute malicious code, viruses, or other harmful software;
- Use automated scrapers, bots, crawlers, or similar tools to harvest data from the Service without our prior written consent;
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with access controls, the anonymous browse meter, rate limits, or security features;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the Service or its infrastructure; or
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or use the Service to harass, spam, or unlawfully contact individuals or businesses named in the catalog.
7. Intellectual Property
- Our property. The Service — including software, design, branding, UI, selection and arrangement of catalog content, scores, and derived signals — is owned by FieldFlowHub and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding except as needed to refer to the Service accurately.
- Your account content. You retain ownership of information you submit in account fields (for example, name, company, trade preferences, and saved sites). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, and use that information solely as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
- Public-record catalog. Catalog rows are not “your” user content. Display of public-record information follows our data pipeline and product processes, not account deletion alone. See the Privacy Policy for how account deletion differs from catalog data.
8. Termination
- By you. You may stop using the Service and request account closure at any time by contacting us.
- By us. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms, create risk or possible legal exposure for us, or if we discontinue the Service.
- Survival. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, license restrictions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) remain in effect.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that catalog data, scores, contacts, or AI-assisted copy will be accurate, complete, or current.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall FieldFlowHub or its operators, suppliers, or partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service — including reliance on public-record or derived catalog information.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100), because the Service is currently provided free of charge.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice before new terms take effect (for example, by posting on the Service or emailing account holders when appropriate). By continuing to use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and close your account.
